Editorial Standards & Publishing Expertise

Every guide, comparison, and how-to article on XpressPublisher Blog is written and reviewed by Daniel Wayne, Publishing Director at XpressPublisher, with direct hands-on experience in the book industry. This page explains who produces our content, how we maintain accuracy, and what standards we hold our editorial work to.

Who Writes This Blog

Daniel Wayne is the Publishing Director at XpressPublisher, a professional book publishing services company with offices in Thousand Oaks, California and East Ham, London. Daniel has been helping authors publish in the USA and UK since 2020, covering every stage of the publishing process — ghostwriting, editing, cover design, formatting, distribution, and marketing.

Daniel and the XpressPublisher team work with real authors on real books every day. When we write about Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, book editing, cover design, or distribution costs, we draw directly from that operational experience — not from secondary research. We are publishers who also write guides, not content writers who research publishing from the outside.

Our Editorial Process

How Articles Are Written

Every article on this blog begins with a specific question or gap we have identified — something authors consistently ask our team, something missing from existing guides, or something where current advice is outdated or misleading. We write from direct professional experience first, then supplement with third-party sources including the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), Reedsy, Writer Beware, the Authors Guild, Written Word Media, and platform-specific documentation from Amazon KDP and IngramSpark.

Fact-Checking and Accuracy

Publishing industry data changes. Platform fees, royalty rates, ISBN costs, and distribution terms all update over time. We review and update our guides when significant changes occur. Each article includes a publication date and, where applicable, a last-reviewed date.

Where we cite statistics or third-party data, we name the source and the year. We do not publish unattributed claims or round numbers without basis. If something is our professional opinion rather than verified fact, we say so.

Independence and Disclosure

XpressPublisher Blog is produced by XpressPublisher, a publishing services company. Where we mention our own services in editorial content, that mention is clearly relevant to the topic and not disguised advertising. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. We do not publish sponsored content as editorial guides.
